Before you decide
Earplugs reduce noise. They do not remove it.
Close, high-pitched sounds, like an alarm clock on the bedside table, still come through. If you are a very heavy sleeper, set the alarm to vibrate.
If you have never used earplugs for sleep, the Yasuragi comes with all three sizes and settles the fit question — which is where most people give up.
- No trial periodFor hygiene reasons, earplugs have no at-home trial.
- If you feel pain or itchingTalk to your doctor before using them continuously, especially with a history of ear infections.
- Six colours, for couplesEveryone has their own and they do not get mixed up. A black pair on the bedside table also disappears less in the dark.
Frequently asked questions
Seijaku or Yasuragi?
If you have never used earplugs, start with the Yasuragi: it comes with S, M and L and settles the fit question. If you already use them and want a pair to carry, the Seijaku comes with a case and costs less.
Why six colours?
Mostly for couples and families: everyone has their own and they do not get mixed up.
Do they work for side sleeping?
The shape is low-profile and does not stick far out of the ear. If you feel pressure against the pillow, try the Yasuragi in a smaller size.
Will I stop hearing my alarm?
Earplugs reduce noise, they do not remove it. Close, high-pitched sounds still come through.
Can I use them every night?
Yes, as long as you keep them clean and your hands are washed when inserting. If you feel itching or pain, talk to your doctor.
