Part of The Sanctuary
In Japan, seijaku (静寂) is the serenity of a place that has been prepared. The Sanctuary is how Dreamura builds it: the bedroom thought out in eight layers. You can assemble it piece by piece, or take it already put together.
The sanctuary, already assembled — for those who wake with a heavy lower back.
Hisui (翡翠) is jade, the stone the Japanese associate with harmony. It is the firm Dreamura mattress — high resilience and viscoelastic foam, no springs, 26 cm, for back sleepers.
What's included
Seven pieces, one delivery — five of the eight sanctuary layers:
- Hisui mattress — high resilience + viscoelastic foam, no springs, firm, 26 cm
- Kanazawa protector — waterproof and breathable
- 2× Nobi pillow — viscoelastic foam, 40×60
- Saten sheet set — 300 thread count sateen, 100% cotton
- Iro duvet — for all four seasons
- Saten duvet cover — 300 thread count sateen, 100% cotton
Who it's for
- For anyone who mainly sleeps on their back — the firm surface keeps the spine aligned without letting the pelvis sink.
- For anyone who wakes with a heavy lower back. It's the mattress in the range most associated with that profile.
- For anyone who doesn't want springs: the Hisui is foam only, which gives a quieter bed with no motion transfer.
- Less suited to anyone who always sleeps on their side: there, the firmness presses on the shoulder and hip, and the Sora works better.

Frequently asked questions
Is the Hisui very firm?
Yes, it's firm — it was designed for support. If you sleep on your side and want more give at the shoulder, the Sora or the Takumi work better.
Does it have springs?
No. It's foam only — high resilience and viscoelastic foam. It gives a quieter bed and passes less movement between the two sides.
Does it help with back pain?
A firm, stable mattress helps keep the spine aligned, and that's what most guidance points to for non-specific lower back pain. It is not a medical device: if the pain is chronic, speak to a healthcare professional.
Does it come with a base or headboard?
No. The Dressed Bed is mattress plus bedding. For a base and headboard with the Hisui, see the Complete Bedroom Hisui.
What if the firmness isn't right?
You have 100 nights to try the mattress at home. If it doesn't suit you, the return is free of charge.
