Summer, rest and travel: how to sleep well away from home?

For many, summer means vacation. Whether it’s a weekend getaway or a family vacation, this is the season when we spend the most nights away from our beds. And with that comes the challenge: how can we ensure we get a good night’s rest away from home?


1. Take comfort with you

The secret is in the small details. A familiar pillow or even a t-shirt that smells like home are simple elements that help the body recognize an environment as safe and fall asleep more easily.

2. Keep your sleep routine

When you’re away from home, everything changes. The sounds, the light, the mattress, the schedule. That’s why maintaining a routine helps your body find balance. Turning off screens and going to bed at the same time, or taking 5 minutes to breathe deeply before bed are habits that can be adapted to any place and can make a difference.

3. Pay attention to the details of the space

Not all accommodations take care of your sleep. If you can, choose places that value comfort: quality mattresses, good ventilation and silence. But when this is not possible, there are simple solutions such as an eye mask, earplugs or even an extra towel under the sheet to soften the mattress.


Sleeping well shouldn't depend on where you live. Because rest is the starting point for making the most of your days. But of course: when you get back, your bed will feel like the best place in the world.
