Self-Assessment of Sleep: Questions to Reflect on Your Rest

Rest is not only measured by the hours we spend in bed. How we sleep, our surroundings, and our pre-sleep habits play an important role in sleep quality.

At Dreamura, we believe that self-care begins with an awareness of one's own resting patterns. Therefore, we propose a simple self-assessment exercise through questions to help you reflect on your sleep.

Consider the following questions:

1. How many hours do you sleep per night?
Sleeping fewer hours than necessary can affect energy, concentration, and mood. The most important thing is to feel refreshed when you wake up.

2. How do you wake up in the morning?
Do you wake up feeling rested or do you feel fatigued, even after sleeping the recommended hours?

3. Do you wake up during the night?
Frequent awakenings can interrupt the deeper stages of sleep.

4. Do you have a regular sleep and wake-up schedule?
Consistent routines help the body regulate its biological clock.

5. Do you use screens before bed?
Mobile phones, computers, or television close to bedtime can stimulate the mind and make it harder to prepare for sleep.

6. Does it take you a long time to fall asleep?
If you usually lie in bed for more than about 30 minutes without falling asleep, it could be a sign that you need to slow down before going to bed.

Sleep self-assessment does not replace medical advice, but it can be a first step to understanding the quality of your rest. If some of these questions have made you think about your habits, perhaps it's a good time to start with small changes.
