Before deciding
A bed resting on the floor is a choice, with a trade-off.
The effect is of a volume set down, and in a room with a low ceiling it works better than any base with legs. But at 3 cm you cannot vacuum underneath and nothing fits there — and that cannot be fixed afterwards.
If you need space under the bed, the Tapi Kobe has the same total height and 26.5 cm legs. If you need serious storage, it is the Sendai.

Does the Okinawa have legs?
It has 3 cm legs, which in practice are not visible. The base sits almost directly on the floor and the bed looks like a volume set down.
Can I vacuum underneath?
Not with the base in place. At 3 cm the vacuum cannot get under it — you move the base aside to clean, now and then. That is the trade-off of the design.
Does anything fit under the bed?
No. If you need space underneath, the Tapi Kobe has the same total height and 26.5 cm legs. For closed storage, the Sendai.
How high will the bed be?
The base is 30 cm total height. Add the mattress height: with a 26 cm one, the surface sits 56 cm off the floor — the same as the other 30 cm bed bases.
Do I need a slatted base?
No. The slatted top does that job and the mattress sits directly on it.
