Nara Sommier with Metal Feet

Nara (奈良) was the first capital of Japan, the city of zen temples. Upholstered base with metal legs — a soft presence at the corners, with a leg of a more industrial character.

Why choose the Nara

• Arrives ready to sleep on. No assembly.
• Steel frame. It does not wobble or sag with daily use.
• Wooden slatted top. Ventilates the mattress and works with springs or foam.
• Repairable. Replaceable slats and a re-upholstery service when needed — it does not get thrown away.
• 3-year warranty. Free delivery in mainland Portugal within 2 weeks.

Who it is for

• Those who want the bed lifted off the floor, with the leg visible and a lighter feel
• Rooms with a more urban character, where metal matches the rest
• Those who prefer soft lines on the base but a leg with character
• Those who want to vacuum under the bed without moving it
• Those who do not need storage and do not want to pay for it

Technology and construction

• Steel frame — rigid and stable, with no movement over time
• Wooden slatted top — ventilation under the mattress, which extends the life of the foam
• Water-repellent fabric — resists splashes and everyday dust
• Metal legs — urban finish, slim line

Frequently asked questions

Nara or Akita?
The construction is the same and the price nearly so. The difference is design: the Nara has rounded corners and a soft presence, the Akita has exact geometry and straight lines. Choose according to the rest of the room.

Which legs to choose?
The metal ones lean industrial and have a slim line. The conical ones in light wood soften the look. The rectangular ones give a sober line. Same height, same price.

Does it come assembled?
Yes, it arrives ready to use. Only the legs screw on, with no tools.

Does it work with any mattress?
Yes. The slatted top works with spring or foam mattresses, in any of the available sizes. The full range is in mattresses, and the measurements in mattress sizes in Portugal.

Do I need a slatted base on top?
No. The slatted top already does that job and ventilates the mattress from below. A bowed or broken base is, in fact, one of the reasons a mattress sags before its time — the signs are here.

Can I speak to someone before buying?
Yes. Call 21 150 95 04 and Ana Cristina will help you choose size, colour and legs, with no obligation.
