Does terry get very warm?
In very hot climates, yes — terry is warmer than Tencel or flat cotton. For summers in Lisbon or the Algarve, consider the Kanazawa.

Is it good for a baby mattress?
Yes — terry is gentle on sensitive skin. Use the size matching the cot.

How does it compare to the Kirishima?
Tsuwano is softer and cosier (you feel the texture). Kirishima is more neutral (feels like a sheet). For an enveloping feel, Tsuwano. For discretion, Kirishima.
