Sateen — the threads pass over several others before crossing. It gives a smooth surface, soft to the touch with a gentle sheen, that holds a little more warmth and wrinkles less.
Percale — the threads cross one by one. A matte fabric, dry and cooler, that breathes more.
These sheets are 300 thread count sateen — the softest feel in the bedding range.

Before you decide
Measure your mattress's height, not the bed's width.
It is the most common mistake with this purchase. The fitted sheet holds on by height, and a 160 cm bed can have a mattress that is 20 cm or 30 cm tall. A sheet that is too shallow comes loose during the night.

What is included in this set?

What is the difference between sateen and percale?
The weave. In sateen the threads pass over several others before crossing, giving a smooth, soft surface with a gentle sheen that holds a little more warmth and wrinkles less. In percale the threads cross one by one, giving a matte, dry, cooler fabric.
Which should I choose if I run warm at night?
In that case, percale — the Pākēru line — breathes more. Sateen holds a little more warmth: an advantage in winter and a downside in summer.
Is 300 thread count better than 200?
Only if you compare fabrics of the same weave. A 300 thread count sateen is not better than a 200 thread count percale — it is different. Above 400 threads the number stops meaning much.
What sizes are available?
Three: beds of 90, 140/160 and 180 cm.
Does it need ironing?
Almost never. Sateen wrinkles less than percale.
Does it match the duvet cover?
Yes. The Saten duvet cover comes in the same five colours.
