Nekasu (寢かす) means putting someone to sleep.
The Japanese verb used when laying a child down in bed. That is all this cot does, and nothing more.

The safety standard for domestic-use cots: bar spacing, side height, stability and strength.
Safe sleep
Measure the inside of the cot before buying the mattress.
The mattress has to fit the cot with no gap between it and the bars. A two-finger gap is already too much — that is the rule used to check it.
Safe sleep guidance also includes laying the baby on their back, on a firm, flat surface, without pillows, padded bar bumpers or soft objects in the cot. Lower the base as soon as the baby can sit up unaided. If in doubt about your case, speak to your paediatrician.

What are the outer dimensions?
125x70x95 cm. Measure the room before ordering, especially the width of the doorway.
What is the adjustable base for?
In the early months it stays in the high position, so you can pick up the baby without bending your back. It goes lower once the baby can sit, and lower again once they stand.
Up to what age does it work?
From the early months until the transition to a bigger bed, usually between 2 and 3 years.
Does it come assembled?
No. It arrives unassembled, with instructions. Assembly is done at home and is simple.
Is the finish safe if the baby bites the bars?
Yes. Non-toxic paints and varnishes, free of harmful substances — precisely because that is what happens once the baby starts standing up.
