Hospitality Guide — Sleep One-Stop Shop

Sleep one-stop shop for hospitality

Some things last for years — the mattress, the bed base, the headboard. And some things get washed, wear out and are replaced every season — sheets, duvets, pillows, protectors and towels. Dreamura makes both, from the same house and with a single point of contact.

We've installed more than 5,000 beds in hotels, local accommodation and villas. This guide gives you two tools: the 20 right questions to ask before specifying, and the cost-per-room calculation over 7 years.

The cost per room over 7 years

The list price answers “how much does it cost today”. The right question is “how much does it cost per room, per year, until 2032”. A mattress that lasts longer needs fewer replacements, avoids complaints and keeps your review score up — all of that is in the sum, it just doesn't show on the quote.

The formula
Real cost per room / year =
( Price + Installation − Residual value ) ÷ Years of real useful life
Add in: the cost of early replacements, of the room out of service during the change, and of the impact of a worn-out bed on reviews.

Compare quotes by the right number

Criterion Budget mattress Hotel standard (Dreamura)
Initial price per room Low On request
Useful life in hospitality 3–4 years 7–10 years
Replacements over 7 years ~2 0–1
Installation and removal of the old one Often separate Included
Replacement for defects Undefined timeframe 48h, no downtime
Textiles and towels (restocking) Another supplier The same house
Real cost per room / year High Low
Rule of thumb: if a supplier doesn't document useful life, replacement and textile restocking, those costs don't disappear — they move to the hotel's side.

The 20 questions before specifying

A

Durability and construction

01What is the mattress's support system (pocket springs, HR foam, memory foam) and its density?
02What is the expected useful life in intensive hotel use, with daily guest turnover?
03Does the mattress keep its firmness and comfort after 5–7 years, or sag in the middle?
04What warranty does it offer and what does it cover (sagging, seams, foam)?
B

Lead times and installation

05What is the delivery lead time for the volume you need?
06Is there fast-track production for emergencies (openings, urgent replacements)?
07Is room-by-room installation included?
08Who removes and handles the old mattresses?
C

Service and after-sales

09How does replacement for defects work, and how quickly?
10Is there room downtime during the change?
11Do you have a single point of contact, or do you talk to a call centre?
12Does the supplier make what it sells, or is it an intermediary?
D

Textiles and recurring restocking

13Besides the beds, does it supply the textiles — sheets, duvets, covers, pillows, protectors — and the bath towels?
14What is the restocking lead time for recurring resupplies?
15Does it keep consistency of colour, size and quality between orders over time?
16Can it schedule regular restocking (monthly, quarterly) with a single account and a single invoice?
E

Commercial terms

17What are the payment terms (upfront, Net 30, Net 60)?
18Is there a minimum quantity? Can you order in phases, floor by floor?
19Do they make custom sizes for non-standard beds?
20Do they send samples for approval before closing the order?
