Como criar o ambiente perfeito para dormir bem

How to create the perfect environment for a good night's sleep

Sleeping well doesn't happen by chance. There are nights when the body is tired, but the mind won't switch off. Other nights, silence is elusive, the slightest light is bothersome, or the bed temperature never seems quite right. Sleeping well goes beyond having the right products, which is why we also want to help create an environment where sleep occurs naturally, deeply, and truly restoratively.

We already know that the environment directly influences sleep quality. So, it's worth paying attention to the small gestures that can make all the difference:

1. Reduce light and opt for soft tones

Strong light inhibits the production of melatonin, the hormone that regulates sleep. Replace white lighting with warm light and create a visually calm environment with neutral and soft colours in the bedroom.

2. Maintain the right temperature

The body sleeps better in slightly cool environments. Ideally, between 18ºC and 21ºC.

3. Turn off screens before bed

The blue light from devices confuses the brain and delays sleep. Try to turn off your phone, computer, or television at least 30 minutes before going to bed.

4. Create a bedtime routine

Take a warm shower, read a few pages of a book, or simply pause for a few minutes in silence. These rituals help the body understand that it's time to slow down.

5. Reduce noise

Silence is a natural ally of rest. If you can't guarantee it, consider soft, constant sounds, like white noise or nature sounds.

6. Keep the space clean and organised

A tidy bedroom conveys calm. Too much clutter can create a feeling of anxiety that interferes with sleep.

To sleep well, it's essential to take care of the space around us, our habits, and the energy we feel upon entering the bedroom. When everything around us invites rest, sleeping becomes natural.
