How to create the perfect environment for a good night's sleep

Sleeping well doesn't happen by chance. There are nights when your body is tired, but your mind won't switch off. Other times, silence is never enough, the slightest light is annoying or the bed temperature never seems to be right. Sleeping well goes beyond having the right products, which is why we also want to help create an environment where sleep happens naturally, deeply and is truly restorative.

We already know that the environment directly influences the quality of sleep. That's why it's worth paying attention to the small gestures that can make all the difference:

1. Reduce the light and opt for soft tones

Bright light prevents the production of melatonin, the hormone that regulates sleep. Swap out white lighting for warm light and create a visually calming environment with soft, neutral colors in your bedroom.

2. Keep the temperature right

The body sleeps best in slightly cool environments. Ideally, between 18ºC and 21ºC. If it is too hot or too cold, sleep tends to be lighter and more interrupted.

3. Turn off screens before bed

Blue light from devices confuses the brain and delays sleep. Try turning off your phone, computer or television at least 30 minutes before bed.

4. Create a bedtime routine

Taking a hot shower, reading a few pages of a book or simply taking a few minutes to sit in silence. These rituals help your body realize that it’s time to slow down.

5. Reduce noise

Silence is a natural ally of rest. If you can't guarantee it, consider soft, constant sounds, such as white noise or nature sounds, which help to isolate distractions and relax.

6. Keep the space clean and organized

A tidy bedroom creates a sense of calm. Too much clutter can create feelings of anxiety that interfere with sleep, even without us realizing it.
